Websters defines a boudoir as "a small room to which a woman may retire to be alone, or to receive intimate friends."

Boudoir photography is about capturing that spirit, giving a sense of you as a woman. That sense may be about bold eroticism, gentle romance or quiet vulnerability.

The shoot usually takes place in a studio, and takes 2-3 hours to allow for different setups and clothing (or lack of). A professional make-up artist will prepare you, and remain present throughout the shoot in case any touch-ups are required.

The photos may be a gift for a partner (some brides choose this as a wedding gift for their new husband, for example), or it may simply be for you to look back on when you are 70.

You can review photos as we shoot, or when we're done, or online at your leisure - whatever you prefer.
